Operating from -40 to 75°C, EKI-7559MI/EKI-7559SI and EKI-7554MI are integrated with X-Ring technology, which supports single, dual, and quad ring architectures and enables near-instant redundancy with recovery time less than 10 ms. Model EKI-7554MI has 4 + 2 ports, while Models EKI-7559MI/EKI-7559SI feature 8 + 2 ports, providing uplink that can transmit data up to 30 km at 100 Mbps. Additional features include IP security, VLAN, Port Mirroring, IGMP Snooping, Port Trunking, and email warnings.

Announcing Three New Wide Temperature EKI Managed Switches
Advantech's Industrial Automation Group has announced new wide temperature models of the EKI series, the EKI-7559MI/EKI-7559SI and EKI-7554MI. These powerful Industrial Managed Gigabit Ethernet switches are designed with a wider temperature range (-40° C ~ 75°C) to suit harsh environment requests. Furthermore, EKI-7559MI/EKI-7559SI and EKI-7554MI are integrated with Advantech's own X-Ring technology which supports Single, Dual & Quad Ring architectures to build a complete infrastructure. EKI-7559MI/EKI-7559SI features 8+2 ports (8 x Fast Ethernet ports and 2 x Multi-mode or 2 x Single-mode SC type fiber optic ports) providing a long-distance uplink which can transmit important data up to 30km at 100Mbps speeds. EKI-7554MI comes with 4+2 ports (4 x Fast Ethernet ports and 2 x Multi-mode SC type fiber optic ports) to meet various Ethernet solutions.
With wider temperature from -40° C to 75° C, EKI-7559MI/EKI-7559SI and EKI-7554MI can work normally even in freezing and extremely hot environments. Advantech's fast 'X-Ring' architecture promises near-instant redundancy with a recovery time less than 10ms. Moreover, EKI-7559MI/EKI-7559SI and EKI-7554MI also feature the "Dual Ring" technology, allowing it to be a hub for an existing X-Ring, so that users need only one switch to link redundant rings, rather than two. Furthermore, the "Quad Ring" topology combines 4 adjoining X-Rings into one central switch. This provides centralized management and cost-efficiency to fit industrial networking solutions.
As a Managed Ethernet switch, EKI-7559MI/EKI-7559SI and EKI-7554MI feature advanced management functions, such as IP security, VLAN, QoS, Port Mirroring, MAC Security, IGMP Snooping, Port Trunking, CoS/TOS, Email warnings, SNMP Trap,SMTP and more. For user access control, the EKI-7559MI/EKI-7559SI and EKI-7554MI support port-based IEEE802.1x user authentication from a centralized RADIUS server. EKI-7559MI/EKI-7559SI and EKI-7554MI come with an IP30 metal housing and has 3000 VDC surge protection for the power line, plus 4000 VDC ESD protection on the Ethernet ports.
