Compact MICE Ethernet/Fast Ethernet switches are compatible with 10BASE-T, 10BASE-FL, 100BASE-TX and 100BASE-FX, and accommodate twisted pair, single mode or multimode fiber optic connections. Switches support SNMP management, web-based management, port mirroring, port security, remote monitoring (RMON), bootstrap protocol (BootP), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and company's HIPER Ring. They include redundant 24 V power supplies.

New Modular, Manageable, Highly Available Industrial Ethernet Switch Available From Hirschmann Electronics
Pine Brook, NJ, February 2002 - Hirschmann Electronics Inc., Automation and Network Solutions, has introduced its new line of Modular Industrial Communication Equipment (MICE) Ethernet/Fast Ethernet switches, which offer a unique combination of network management tools, redundancy features for high availability, and modular media plug-ins for versatility. The compact switches are DIN-Rail mountable, with redundant 24-volt power supplies, and are compatible with 10BASE-T, 10BASE-FL, 100BASE-TX and 100BASE-FX. The switches will accommodate twisted pair, single mode or multimode fiber optic connections.
MICE switches are made up of an integrated backplane, and a modular dock that accepts the various media modules. The switches support SNMP management, web-based management, port mirroring, port security, remote monitoring (RMON), bootstrap protocol (BootP), Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), and Hirschmann's unique HIPER Ring. Hirschmann's HIPER Ring provides high availability through self-healing ring redundancy. The switches' rugged construction meets all standards for industrial Ethernet, making them suitable for applications where EMI interference, shock, vibration and temperature might otherwise cause concern.
With the addition of the MICE family of modular switches, Hirschmann now offers a complete range of uniform data communications equipment for industrial Ethernet, from backbone switches through transceivers; from control center level to the field application level.
