FiveCo Extends its Range of Small Embedded Ethernet Converters: FMod-TCP DB

A cost saving solution to connect your equipment to the network
April 2, 2005

FiveCo developed one of the smallest Ethernet servers presently on the market (its size is about half that of a credit card). This server allows an operator (or a control station) to communicate with various sensors or devices (AD, I/O, I2C, UART), located one meter away or at the other end of the
world thanks to a simple web navigator.

Based on this product, a whole range of possibilities has been developed using its connecting capability e.g. with a controller for electrical motors using this Ethernet communication.

The new version FMod-TCP DB (Daughter Board) only uses standard connectors (DIL 2.54 mm) in order to facilitate its integration into an existing system. It offers different protocols: 19 input/output, 5 A/D converter, one I2C bus and one UART bus (RS232, RS485…).

These products are not only highly efficient and of a small size but also offer a precious alternative to the communication systems actually used in the industry (flow, costs, installation...).
