Platform Truck Loaded with New Features
March 8, 2007 - Techstar has developed an all-new platform truck whose unique design features and performance characteristics will deliver outstanding levels of productivity and good ergonomics.
The Model PC3048 Platform Truck is sure to delight operators by allowing them to move loads of up to 500 pounds (227 kg) around the plant, warehouse or any other facility with ease. Built for comfort, efficiency and job satisfaction, the platform truck truly enables the operator and the vehicle to merge as a single productive unit.
Among operator-friendly features, molded-in pockets hold order-picking items, pens, clipboards, printouts, scanners and more, while the beverage holder is the perfect fit for a coffee cup or water bottle. The powder-coated steel handle is 1.25 inches (32 mm) in diameter, which ensures a good, convenient grip.
For maximum strength and durability, the body of the platform truck is roto-molded from LLDPE (linear low-density polyethylene), which means no rust, dents, cracks or splinters. It also means low weight, since the truck weighs in at just 59 pounds (27 kg).
Dimensions are 48 x 30 x 12 inches deck height (1200 x 760 x 300 mm), with overall height to the top of the handle of 48 inches (1200 mm). The unique smooth-contoured deck design means loads slide on and off easily yet will not shift while being transported. Standard casters have 6-inch (150 mm) polypropylene wheels, with the option of upgrading to 8-inch (200 mm) or 10-inch (250 mm) flat-free non-marking polyurethane wheels.
For fleet management and easy identification, the platform trucks can be molded in a variety of attractive colors, including gray, blue, red and green.
