Magnolia Plastics, Inc. Announces New Conductive Carbon Filled Adhesive for Filter Assembly

Chamblee, GA, USA - October 22, 2009 - Magnolia Plastics, Inc., a leading manufacturer and global supplier of epoxy systems and custom epoxy formulations, introduced their innovative new product, Magnobond® 133-351 A/B today. This product is a two-part epoxy adhesive designed to bond fuel filter media to filter end caps. The innovation lies in the conductive carbon filler that allows static electricity to be discharged safely.

"Always problematic, static electricity is created by intense friction between the fuel and filter element. Carbon filled Magnobond® 133-351 A/B eliminates this problem for filter manufacturers. With our new product, filter manufacturers can now create a static discharge circuit. By attaching a display lamp to output terminals, filter manufacturers could be alerted to a static electricity discharge or a decrease in fuel flow through the filter," stated Joe Leonardo, Director of Sales for Magnolia Plastics, Inc.

"Magnobond® 133-351 A/B is a high performance, low viscosity adhesive designed to bond dissimilar substrates and offers excellent chemical resistance in addition to the static electricity discharge capability," stated Greg Bunn, Director of R & D for Magnolia Plastics, Inc.

On December 10-11, 2008, Magnolia Plastics, Inc. will be an exhibitor at Filtration 2008 in Philadelphia at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Filtration 2008 is the world's largest conference and expo for filtration. "This is our first time exhibiting at the Filtration Expo, and we're looking forward to seeing our current customers and meeting new prospective customers in the filtration industry," stated Rick Wells, CEO of Magnolia Plastics, Inc.
