SANTA CLARA, California and TEL AVIV, Israel -- QualiSystems, a leading provider of lab management [http://www.qualisystems.com/site/cont... ], device provisioning and test automation [http://www.qualisystems.com/site/cont... ] solutions, announced today the release of its latest TestShell software version - TestShell 4.6. The major framework release is designed to enable test engineers and network professionals broader independence in the lab and testing environment while reducing test setup and provisioning efforts, accelerating test resources utilization and increasing overall performance.

With the release of its latest version, TestShell is taking a further leap forward towards a holistic framework for enterprises, service providers and data centers struggling to maintain reliable and high quality network services before and during the implementation and release of new technologies.

Eitan Lavie, VP Product Marketing at QualiSystems, said: "Extensive effort has been invested in TestShell 4.6 to support customer wish-lists and identified market challenges brought to us by leading testing-lab teams. We were surprised to learn that millions of dollars' worth of test and lab equipment are often utilized only 20%-30% of the time. TestShell can, and already is, making it possible to immediately increase equipment utilization, with accessible management capabilities. We truly believe the latest lab management enhancements demonstrated in this release, together with powerful device control improvements and unparalleled reporting and analysis upgrades, will lead our customers to greater achievements."

Lab Management: Centralized inventory management, device reservation and scheduling, and accessible and dynamic topology diagrams for easy setup, are now enhanced with detailed equipment utilization reports, enhanced performance to support high volumes of equipment, and immediate conflict alerts.

Automation: Strong device control upgrades accelerate automation and the creation of automated scenarios. Driver development and deployment are simplified with built-in templates outlining driver functionality, mandatory functions and interfaces. The integrated, user-defined error notification library is enhanced, along with condition-action error-handling rules for easy debugging and recovery.

Reporting: TestShell's overall analysis capabilities are further enhanced with new reporting profiles and with a powerful query wizard for quick and simple generation of analysis dashboards. Tagging of tests and tests results is now easily accessible, enabling crisscrossing data when extracting reports.
