(NYSE:DTE) announces availability of the ENE 210, a highly efficient combined heat and power on-site energy system, noted for its cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) engine technology. As an addition to the energy|now™ product portfolio, the ENE 210 can reduce energy costs while increasing energy independence and reliability for commercial and industrial customers.
Featuring the lowest emissions in the industry, the cooled EGR technology enables ENE 210 systems to meet the most stringent U.S. emissions requirements. With a pre-engineered “packaged” design for either indoor or outdoor installations, the ENE 210 reduces up front engineering, site design and installation costs. The system is ideally suited for base load power applications. Additional system efficiency can be gained by utilizing the system’s waste heat.
ENE 210 waste heat applications can provide hot water, enabling commercial and industrial customers to offset natural gas and electricity consumption. Featuring low emissions that satisfy the most stringent U.S. requirements, the ENE 210 produces highly reliable electricity for as low as $0.57 / kWh when utilizing waste heat and assuming $5/MMBTU natural gas, on a full life cycle basis with all maintenance and capital costs included.
