Cooper Lighting
1121 Hwy. 74
Peachtree City, GA, 30269, USA

4-lamp and 6-lamp fixtures complete the industrial fluorescent energy solutions product line

PEACHTREE CITY, Ga., July 24, 2009 - Cooper Lighting, a division of Cooper Industries, Ltd. (NYSE: CBE), has added the Metalux VT4 Series to its energy-efficient industrial lighting Vaportite fixture line. Part of Cooper Lighting's industrial fluorescent energy solutions offering, the VT4's high-quality construction design and superior optics provide maximum operation in commercial, institutional and industrial environments where weathering, high temperature, humidity and dust or corrosive fumes are present. The fixtures offer up to 50% energy savings when compared to 400W metal halide and high pressure sodium high-bay systems, typically found in these applications.

Suitable for both interior and exterior applications, the VT4 Series' rugged, durable construction incorporates a full metal tray inside a self-extinguishing reinforced fiberglass polyester housing with a clear acrylic high impact, UV stabilized diffuser. Polyurethane gasketing is formed in the housing providing a continuous seamless seal for the diffuser. Stainless steel cam latches clamp the diffuser tightly for a positive seal between the housing, gasketing and diffuser.

This 4' Vaportite series is available with four or six T5 or T8 lamps, offering medium or wide beam distributions. The fixtures are supplied with a code compliant pre-wired internal disconnect for safe and convenient means of disconnecting power during service and maintenance. The internal tethered gear tray allows toolless access to the ballast compartment and hands-free maintenance. The fixtures can be chain or cable mounted.

The Metalux VT4 Series is UL Listed for wet locations (standard), UL/cUL Listed, NEMA 4X, NSF Listed, IP65 and IP67 Certified.
