Caorle Announces Latest Facing, Centering & End Working Machines With Toolchangers

Caorle Corporation, Sparta, New Jersey introduces two new additions of their successful first operation end facing and centering machines. The model MC 650 features two horizontally opposed #50 taper spindles each with 20 hp and three axis CNC plus a 20 position automatic tool changer. The MC 650 provides complete machining center flexibility and versatility to machine both ends of a work piece simultaneously with up to 3 simultaneously controlled axes at each end. The standard maximum work capacity of 8" dia. x 59" long (larger upon request) is well suited for the machining of both solid shafts with or without flanges, bars and tubular type parts. The second model is the CM 132 / IS040 / TC12, which has two horizontally opposed #40 taper spindles each with two axis CNC and 12 position tool changer for a work capacity of up to 5.125" dia. x 59" long. The simultaneous machining of both ends of a work piece provide the benefits of a cycle time which is more than halved because material handling is also eliminated and work piece accuracy is improved since there is no need for indexing of the part or re-fixturing. Work pieces can either be loaded manually from the front via access through the large sliding front doors of the full enveloping guarding system or from the rear with the optional automatic loading system for complete autonomy. Both models are equally suited for both long and short run lot sizes due to the fast change over and tool storage capacity. Standard equipment includes a flood coolant system and chip conveyor.
