Southborough, MA - January 12, 2009 - Device Technologies, Inc. today announced the new Seal-Fast D Series Enclosure and Door Seal, the latest addition to its successful Spring-Fast Wire Protection Grommet Edging family of products.
RoHS compliant Seal-Fast is a better, cleaner, and faster way to protect critical electronic equipment from damaging environmental conditions such as dust, moisture, extreme temperatures and noise. The Seal-Fast product series consists of a broad range of profile shapes and sizes manufactured with a unique steel or stainless steel substrate, wire or segmented clip, which snaps-on instantly to panel thickness' from 0.029 (0.74 mm) to .750(19.1mm) and locks into place without adhesives.
The high tensile strength substrate is encapsulated with a smooth abrasion resistant elastomeric polymer; EPDM, Silicone or PVC to resist extreme environmental conditions, tested in accordance to ASTM, FMVSS and SAE flame, toxicity and weathering qualifications. The flexible encapsulated substrate snaps over any panel edge with low to medium insertion force and has superior extraction strength and the seal section includes a bulb or wing shape profile that compresses against a panel to create an environmental seal. Seal-Fast is specifically designed for use in the rail, aviation, avionics, automotive, military vehicles telecommunications and construction industries in applications including electronic enclosures and transportation vehicle doors and compartments. Seal-Fast is provided in 100 foot boxes or customer specified length.
