December 24, 2010 - Accommodating liquid pharmaceutical processors interested in submicron emulsions, suspension milling, and micronization, Ytron® HV0-Emulsifier and Wet Mill provides benefits of high velocity (HV) milling at inline process capacity of 1-5 Lpm. There are 3 models, ranging from 7.5-60 hp, with capacities of up to 285+ Lpm. Each uses energy optimized tooling that operates at tip speeds to 70 m/sec. Sanitary high-speed mechanical seal eliminates potential trap areas around rotor shaft.

Quadro Launches a Lab Scale HV-Emulsifier and Wet Mill

Quadro is proud to introduce the Ytron HV0-Emulsifier and Wet Mill, a formulation lab-scale machine that provides all the benefits of high velocity (HV) milling at an inline process capacity of 1-5 L/min. To liquid pharmaceutical processors interested in submicron emulsions, suspension milling and micronization, Quadro Ytron® HV is the brand of inline mill that offers more than fifty-five times (55x) the high shear energy of a conventional rotor-stator system with precise process scaling from lab formulation, to pilot and production processing. The restricted capacity, high energy consumption, and frequent maintenance requirements of high pressure homogenizers (HPH) and media mills can now be overcome with an HV solution to maximize productivity while cutting the cost of development and production.

The HV-Series features three different models ranging from 7.5-60 Hp depending on desired capacity, up to over 285 L/min. All models utilize energy optimized tooling that operates at tip speeds up to 70m/s with the lowest power consumption in the industry, in addition to a sanitary high-speed mechanical seal that eliminates potential trap areas around the rotor shaft for improved CIP/SIP results.
