Sperian Announces 100% Sterile Emergency Eyewash Station
Fendall 2000(TM) Delivers Superior Innovations in Portable Eyewash Technology
SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Oct. 15, 2007 - Sperian, the world leader in personal protective equipment, today announced the latest innovation in portable, sealed-cartridge eyewash stations -- the Fendall 2000(TM). The unit was designed exclusively for the company's new sterile saline emergency eyewash solution to form a 100 percent sterile delivery system.
Unlike other portable, sealed-cartridge units on the market, the Fendall 2000 features increased functionality and other unique enhancements including sealed nozzles and tubing which remain sealed until the unit is activated for a 100 percent sterile delivery system. The unit also features an activation alarm to signal that someone has activated the unit and is in need of help, easy maintenance and installation, windows for easy-to-view solution reference information and a self-contained waste-water containment system to capture waste water without the risk of spills. For added comfort, proper use and improved compliance, the Fendall 2000 system also includes ergonomic features such as an arm and head rest.
"The Fendall 2000 sterile eyewash station was designed completely in response to end-user feedback and suggestions and to ensure eye health," said Christine Mello, senior product manager of Emergency Eyewash Products, Sperian. "In addition to providing new features which enhance user comfort and allow for easy cleaning, maintenance and relocation,- the eyewash station - along with the new 100 percent sterile eyewash saline solution cartridges - is the most advanced and effective eyewash system available on the market."
The completely self-contained unit is compact, durable and modular, and functions with one sterile saline cartridge which has a shelf life of up to two years. The eyewash station allows for visual view of lot numbers, expiration dates and drug facts information on the rinsing cartridge.
The new Fendall 2000 eyewash station is available for purchase through major safety equipment distributors nationwide or by contacting the company's customer care department directly at 1-800-FENDALL, option #3. For additional product information, please visit www.fendall.com.
