Moxa's Embedded Managed Ethernet Switch Module Boosts Performance
Taipei, Taiwan, April 17, 2009 - Moxa unveils the EOM-104, a new embedded managed Ethernet switch that supports four 10/100 Mbps ports with up to 2 fiber ports, and comes equipped with advanced management features. The EOM-104 is ideal for industrial field site applications where the performance and reliability of connected devices can be upgraded by embedding this ultra-small switch module. With Moxa's new Ethernet module switches, users can benefit from reduced deployment cost, lower power consumption (2 watts), extended operating temperature of -40 to 75°C, device redundancy, as well as saving valuable space. The size of the EOM-104 is merely 54 x 60 mm - about two-thirds the size of a business card - which is perfect for space restricted embedded applications. Other obvious advantages include its extremely low power consumption that provides lower thermal output for stable operations, and 3.3 VDC power input, which do not require an additional external power supply.
