AtMail Announces ArchiveVault, a Secure, Searchable Email Archive Appliance

AtMail adds ArchiveVault to suite of email products to help customers better manage growing volumes of email, meet compliance and eDiscovery requirements

BRISBANE, Australia, and COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho, March 23 -- AtMail, a leading provider of easy-to-use, Linux-based email management appliances and software, today announced the availability of ArchiveVault, a new "plug-n-play," email archival system available in a compact network appliance. ArchiveVault automatically indexes and archives all emails and attachments in a user-friendly Web-based interface, simplifying email management, enhancing user productivity and helping organizations meet growing compliance regulations related to email storage.

"Email archiving is becoming standard policy for companies of all sizes," said Corey Bissaillon, vice president of sales at AtMail. "ArchiveVault allows organizations to maintain compliance with regulations such as HIPAA and to avoid embarrassing legal setbacks when attempting to comply with eDiscovery requests."

ArchiveVault provides users with the ability to capture, store, and recover incoming, outgoing and internal email. The archiving solution offers a secure Web-based management utility to quickly search and find any email which has passed through the system. Maintaining a secure record of business-critical communications, transaction and intellectual property is especially important in order to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley, the new Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, HIPAA, the Freedom of Information Act and other regulations. ArchiveVault allows organizations to quickly resolve disputes and prevent litigation.

ArchiveVault Appliance Benefits:

Processing power: Utilizing Intel's 64-bit Quad Core processors, ArchiveVault speeds the delivery of email communications. The hardware architecture further benefits organizations desiring to take full advantage of next-generation 64-bit processor power.

Secure and stable OS: Powered by the 64-bit CentOS enterprise-class Linux. A custom build is specifically designed and optimized for ArchiveVault. The complete OS and software are pre-installed on the server.

Ease of setup and use: Implementing the ArchiveVault Appliance is simple as users can easily mount the equipment in an existing server rack, attach Ethernet cables and log into the Web-Admin interface to configure the mail and archiving server options.

Web-based administration page: Provides a complete set of management tools for viewing messages in the archive, searching and forwarding email. Command-line access is also provided via Secure Shell.
