New Electronic Pressure Switch for Applications in Off-road Vehicles Improves Safety and Reduces Maintenance Costs

Be sure you build quality and safety into your equipment.

Danfoss, the global engineering company has launched an electronic pressure switch, type MEP, specially designed for hydraulic applications in off-road equipment. The MEP switch offers advanced control to improve safety, extend equipment lifecycles and reduce maintenance costs.

Single switch or dual output

Danfoss is pleased to introduce our new Electronic Pressure Switch MEP 2000 Series – based on the thin film technology platform of the MBS 1300 Series. The new electronic pressure switch was showcased at the BAUMA fair in Munich (15 – 21 April 2013). The electronic pressure switch is available in two versions.

The single switch output version has customized hysteresis and is time constant. It also features protection against short circuits, incorrect wiring and overloading.

The dual output version includes both switch and analogue outputs. Both versions can be supplied with a pulse-snubber to protect the sensor in applications exposed to cavitation, liquid hammer and pressure peaks.

Danfoss’ MEP electronic pressure switch at a glance:

• PNP and NPN available

• Excellent long term stability against off-set shift

• EMC/EMI protection according to mobile Hydraulic standards

• An outstanding burst pressure and no leakages thanks to fully welded design

• High media and ambient temperature resistance ensures performance in extreme conditions

• Excellent shock and vibration robustness

• Enclosure and wetted parts of stainless steel

• Available with a wide range of pressure and electrical connections

The MEP switch is a new addition to Danfoss’ comprehensive range of sensors and switches for the mobile hydraulic equipment segment.
