December 16, 2011 - Featuring field-adjustable PID potentiometer, QPV Series controls pressure from vacuum to 150 psig, including differential and absolute ranges. Variable orifice proportional solenoid valve on input pressure side eliminates digital stepping for smooth, ripple-free pressure control. With IP65 construction that is insensitive to vibration or mounting orientation, unit is suited for leak testing at low pressures, air-over-liquid dispensing, and gas chromatography.

Press release date: October 31, 2011

Proportion-Air introduces the QPV series of high resolution electronic pressure regulator in vacuum through positive pressure calibration. Prior to this introduction users could only enjoy the high resolution control of the QPV proportional solenoid technology in positive pressure applications such as leak testing and frictionless cylinder force control.

Now users can obtain the benefits of a near stepless true proportional solenoid in vacuum, vacuum through positive, and absolute pressure ranges. Applications include altitude simulation and evacuate and fill.

o Ultra high resolution pressure control, +/-0.005% F.S. typical
o Proportional inlet valve avoids digital stepping for smooth ripple free pressure control
o Control pressure range from vacuum to 150 psig, including differential and absolute ranges
o Field adjustable to optimize performance

Ultra High Resolution electro-pneumatic closed loop proportional pressure control valves. The QPV utilizes a variable orifice solenoid valve on the input pressure side which eliminates the digital steps of traditional ON/OFF solenoid: Field adjustable PID potentiometer allows users to virtually eliminate the dead-band of the control circuit, resulting in superior system resolution. Ideal for very sensitive applications such leak testing at low pressures, air-over-liquid dispensing applications, and gas chromotagraphy. Rugged IP65 construction insensitive to vibration or mounting orientation.
