Electronic Latches Provide Sophisticated Security Features For Equipment Enclosures

E-LINE electronic latches help protect equipment enclosures with enhanced security and data collection features while occupying the same space as mechanical latches with conventional keys. To gain access to an enclosure, the user enters a four-digit code on the integral keypad. The built-in LED clearly shows whether access is authorized for that code. Up to 25 unique code combinations can be stored to identify individuals, and E-LINE's networking capability allows every opening operation to be logged by individual.

The networking capability also allows access codes to be programmed and changed, remotely, so authorized access can be changed quickly. In addition, a single latch or multiple latches can also be unlocked remotely. This capability allows the granting of access to equipment enclosures without disclosing an access code.

These units use digital technology to provide the locking function while the actual opening of the equipment door is accomplished by manually actuating the Swinghandle. With this combination, the E-LINE can be retrofitted into any equipment using a conventional DIRAK Swinghandle latch.

The E-LINE latch is powered from a 110/230 VAC input. In the event of a power failure, the latch can be operated by connecting a commercially available battery to contacts included on each latch.

DIRAK products are sold and distributed globally through a network of authorized sales representatives.
