Tidland Launches Heavy-Duty Electronic Knifeholder

Rugged construction combined with overall ease of use make the award-winning e-Knifeholder ideal for harsh environments.

Camas, WA - Tidland Corporation, a leader in the design and engineering of slitting and winding products for the web handling industry, announces the immediate availability of the Class III e-Knifeholder. Designed for reliable operation in harsh environments, the Class III expands the existing line of e-Knifeholder products.

A dust-tight, water resistant enclosure, easy setup and operation, and automatic calibration of side-force and overlap ensure reliable performance in demanding, mill-duty operations. Once the ideal settings are configured, at the factory or via an electronic interface, changeover can occur without operator intervention and new operators can be fully trained in less than 90 seconds.

"The e-Knifeholder is the result of interactions with many experienced people identifying the need for a knifeholder that is easy to set up consistently and reliably," said Peter Wood, Product Manager for Tidland Corporation. "We designed the Class III with the harshest environments in mind, so our customers with extreme demands can experience the simplicity of an electronic knifeholder."

Tidland Corporation is the industry leader in slitting and winding equipment for the web processing industry. Established in 1951 with the invention of the air shaft, Tidland has demonstrated over 55 years of continuous improvement while delivering consistent new product designs to the market. As a company of Maxcess International, Tidland Corporation, Fife Corporation (guiding and inspection equipment) and MAGPOWR (tension controls) are able to apply over 160 years combined industry experience and a large application base to provide a unique perspective of the entire process line.
