December 17, 2004 - Designed to accommodate metal halide and high pressure sodium lamps, e-Vision® 70 W IMH-70-DLF/DBLS and 100 W IMH-100-DLF/DBLS70 employ electronic circuitry and provide automatic lamp power control and lamp monitoring. IntelliVolt® multiple-voltage technology enables ballasts to operate at input voltages from 120–277 V, 50/60 Hz, while lamp wattage regulation optimizes lamp color stability over life and reduces lamp-to-lamp color variations.

Advance Expands Popular e-Vision® Family of Electronic HID Ballasts with Size-Reduced Models For 70 Watt and 100 Watt Lamp Applications

(December 9th, 2004 – Rosemont, Illinois) Advance Transformer announces the expansion of its popular line of e-Vision® electronic ballasts for 20-200 Watt metal halide and high pressure sodium lamps to include new 70 Watt and 100 Watt models that have been size-reduced for increased efficiency and design flexibility.

Offering improved efficiency and lower ballast losses, Advance’s new 70 Watt and 100 Watt e-Vision ballasts are a full 26% smaller than their predecessors, making Advance’s 100 Watt model the smallest in the industry. Both models also share a common footprint with Advance’s 2 X 42 Watt SmartMate® ballasts for compact fluorescent lamps, offering fixture manufacturers, specifiers, and end-users a heightened degree of design flexibility and freedom of choice as well as a broader spectrum of application for electronic HID technology.

Energy-efficient and long-lasting, e-Vision is ideal in a variety of retail downlighting and accent lighting applications as well as a host of institutional, office, and outdoor settings. As with all e-Vision models, Advance’s new size-reduced 70 Watt and 100 Watt ballasts sport the exclusive e-Vision features, including IntelliVolt® multiple-voltage technology (enabling the ballasts’ operation at any input voltage from 120 to 277 volts, 50/60Hz), superior lamp wattage regulation (optimizing lamp color stability over life and reducing lamp-to-lamp color variations), and electronic circuitry (delivering significant energy savings over incandescent and magnetic HID alternatives). e-Vision ballasts further incorporate automatic lamp power control and lamp monitoring for enhanced safety.

Catalog numbers for Advance’s new e-Vision 70 Watt and 100 Watt ballasts are IMH-70-DLF and IMH-100-DLF (side leads) and IMH-70-DBLS and IMH-100-DBLS (bottom leads with mounting studs).

Advance Transformer Company, a leading ballast manufacturer based in Rosemont, Illinois, manufactures a full line of electronic and magnetic fluorescent and magnetic and electronic HID ballasts as well as a broad family of drivers for LED light sources.
