With the intentions of building a specific service hoist for wind turbines, CM Complete Lifting Systems took the existing reliable CM LODESTAR and CM SHOPSTAR and adapted the designs to specifically create service hoists for wind turbines.
The CM Wind Turbine Hoists offer better control as long lift electric hoists with a 2 speed motor that provides smooth, slow speed starts and stops or a faster speed for load transition. A precision machined and hardened liftwheel, fitting the chain provides smoother operation and significantly reduces chain vibration.
The CM Wind Turbine Hoists are equipped with overload protection and prevents lifting more than rated capacity protecting operators and equipment.
Downtime is minimal with the CM Wind Turbine Hoist with parts readily available from authorized distributors. No special tools are required to disassemble making for simple and quick hoist inspections and maintenance adjustments. Upper and lower limit switches (Lodestar only) prevent the lower hook from running to the bottom of the hoist which can lead to hoist and equipment damage.
