Built-in power supply is field adjustable with fail closed, fail open, or operational (open-close) modes. Supplied in NEMA 4, 4X, or 7 enclosures, actuators have output torque range of 400–1,500 lb-in. Supply voltages include 120 Vac, 220 Vac, 24 Vdc, and 12 Vdc, and available options include positioners, speed controls, timers, and position transmitters.

BI-TORQ© Valve Automation has added an electric actuator to its automated lineup. The new Safe & Secure series was designed as a cost-effective solution for critical applications.

Previous solutions to ensuring actuator operation during power failure included costly spring return actuators that only failed back to a default position or bulky battery back-up systems that required separate enclosures and extra wiring. The Safe & Secure series eliminates all that with its standout feature, a compact battery backup system that is small enough to fit inside the actuator enclosure. The built-in power supply is field adjustable with fail closed, fail open or operational (open-close) modes, making it a perfect fit for your critical automation needs.

The actuators have an output torque range of 400 through 1500 inch pounds and are available in NEMA 4, 4X, or 7 enclosures. Supply voltages include 120VAC, 220VAC, 24VDC, and 12VDC. Options include positioners, speed controls, timers, and position transmitters.

While the actuators are available as a BI-TORQ® Valve Automation valve package, and are ideally suited for our fire safe or sanitary valve series, the actuators are also available as retrofit packages with a Carbo-Bond mounting kit. The custom kits allow the actuators to be easily adapted to just about any existing valve in the field.

BI-TORQ® Valve Automation, now in its 20th year, started with a single line of pneumatic rack and pinion actuators.
