Machine tool slide ways are subjected to high forces due to improved performance of cutting tools, cutting feed rates and rapid traverse rates. An advanced way wiper has been developed in a rubber material which, more efficiently than any other type, performs the task of keeping slide ways clear of swarf, dust and all other abrasive materials found in the workshop environment.
Our wipers will efficiently clean the slide ways as well as increase the value of your machines. The wipers are manufactured from synthetic rubber which is resistant to mineral oils and cooling emulsions, with a vulcanized metal reinforced facing. Silicone rubber wipers and wipers without the metal facing are also available for special requirements.
The wipers are supplied:
- in standard strips (22" and/or 39") so that they can be easily adapted to the shapes of the slide ways to be cleaned. Our wipers are perfect for use on telescopic way covers, too. We offer over 45 different profiles. Wipers are available from stock.
- to customer's own designs, normally in one piece so that they can be mounted quickly and economically to lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, machining centers and many other forms of metal cutting machines. Fabricated or custom molded wipers are offered.
