June 9, 2009 - EdgeMax(TM) uses Boolean acceleration technique to speed execution time and enhance quality of edge maps. It eliminates weaknesses of other algorithms, such as missing, doubled, and shifted edges. Supporting machine vision, baggage inspection, video surveillance, biometrics, and medical imaging applications, software is available in GUI and DLL versions, which let users compare results against standard algorithms and call up edge detection routines from other programs, respectively.

BA Logix Launches EdgeMax(TM) Advanced Edge Detection Software, Available for Free Trial

BOSTON, May 27 / / - BA Logix is proud to announce the launch of its advanced edge detection software, EdgeMax(TM). The software uses a Boolean acceleration technique, which results in faster execution and higher quality edge maps when compared against the industry standard Canny algorithm and other edge detectors. EdgeMax is poised to become the new standard in edge detection, solving weaknesses of other algorithms, such as missing edges, doubled edges, and shifted edges. Application areas that can benefit from use of EdgeMax include machine vision, baggage inspection, video surveillance, biometrics, and medical imaging, to name a few.

EdgeMax is available for a 30-day free trial. Graphical user interface (GUI) and dynamic linked library (DLL) versions are available, allowing users to compare against standard algorithms and call the edge detection routines from users' own programs, respectively.
