Cost Effective EMI Shielding for 'Hard to Fit" Spaces

Canandaigua, NY - EMI shielding in test areas is a necessity, but can be difficult to achieve with existing space constraints. To facilitate EMI shielding where the need exists to decrease the ambient RF levels or keep RF signals from getting out, but a shielded room or tent won't work, Select Fabricators, Inc. of Canandaigua, NY has developed EMI shielding curtains.

Recent applications include non-shielded windows in a shielded room, partitioning in a Class 1000 cleanroom and lab wall curtains with grounding strap. Shielding effectiveness of SFi's curtains, made of flexible, conductive, Copper/Nickel/Silver fabric for single layer curtain is greater than or equal to 60 dB attenuation 14 MHz to 10 GHz. For double layer curtains the range is greater than or equal to 70 dB attenuation 1 MHz to 10 GHz and greater than or equal to 90 dB attenuation 26 MHz to 10 GHz.

Each curtain is specifically designed to customer requirements. EMI shielding curtains can be permanently or temporarily affixed using easy-open curtain track, conductive hook and loop and/or grommets. Cooper foil tape, magnets or grounding straps can be added as needed. Closure styles include magnetic and non-magnetic options. An ESD liner is optional.
