Spec Mini Solder-in Feed-thru Filter Joins Spectrum Control Line of EMI Filters from API Technologies

ORLANDO, FL - API Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:ATNY) ("API" or the "Company"), a provider of electronic systems, subsystems, RF, and secure systems for defense, aerospace, and commercial applications, announced today the availability of its new Spec Mini Solder-in Feed-thru Filter. This low pass filter is a new addition to the Spectrum Control line of EMI filters. The Spec Mini Solder-in Feed-thru Filter (9909 Series) has a miniature case measuring 0.140" diameter (flange) x 0.120" diameter (barrel) with a body length of 0.110" and a total overall length of 0.400" including leads.

"This new miniature solder-in filter is hermetically sealed on one end for thru-hole sealing between compartments. This allows it to be soldered into a package, bracket, or bulkhead while maintaining hermeticity," said Larry Howanitz, Vice President, Spectrum Control Business Group of API Technologies. Conventional seal, reverse seal and hi-rel versions are also available.

The RoHS compliant Spec Mini Solder-in Feed-thru Filter is ideal for a variety of products intended for use in the microwave frequency spectrum including oscillators, attenuators, and synthesizers. It features a rugged monolithic discoidal capacitor construction with capacitance values of 5pF to .027µF. Its high temperature construction meets military requirements for solderability and resistance to soldering heat; and its high-purity gold plating provides excellent compatibility with gold bonding techniques.
