Targeted at embedded storage market, point-of-sale terminals, and in-vehicle, communications, and security applications, unit is based on embedded x86 SoC that combines Pentium® M processor, integrated memory controller hub, and range of integrated communications and I/O controllers.

IBASE Reveals Intel EP80579 Integrated Processor-Based ECX SBC
Taipei, Taiwan, July 30, 2008 - IBASE Technology, a leading supplier of embedded boards and systems, today reveals the IBASE ECX SBC - ECX810, based on the latest Intel® EP80579 processor (Tolapai). The new Intel® architecture processor in ECX810 is a full featured embedded x86 SoC combines numerous powerful enabling technology on a single chip. This new SoC is based on the Intel® Pentium® M processor, integrated memory controller hub, and a variety of integrated communications and embedded I/O controllers. It provides an outstanding combination of performance, power efficiency, footprint savings and economy compared to discrete, multi-chip solutions.
Sized only 105mm x 146mm, ECX810 comes with three Gigabit high-speed LAN connectivity, one IEEE 1588 and two CAN Bus interface. Additional expansion with the ID810 (XGI) daughter board supports Region C Type II connection for 18-bit LVDS displays. Other advanced features include one SATA II, one USB 2.0 port, four COM ports and one CF socket. The ECX810 is aimed at the embedded storage market, point-of-sale terminals, in-vehicle, communications and security applications. It is a new solution timed with emerging need for persistently connected mobile Internet devices that requires better connectivity for the Internet.
