New Liebherr HS 825 HD Duty-Cycle Crawler Crane

At the beginning of September, Liebherr unveiled the new HS 825 HD Litronic duty-cycle crawler crane to the public at Matexpo 2007 in Belgium. The newly developed machine is the strongest in the 40-tonne market segment and brings up the rear of the current fifth series of Liebherr duty-cycle crawler cranes.

Taking into account its weight class, the new HS 825 HD Litronic embodies an exceptionally universal machine concept. Its robust design makes it the ideal machine for a whole host of operations, including those wth dragline bucket, material-handling grapple, diaphragm-wall grab or casing oscillator, as well as straightforward lifting operations. One and the same machine thus provides the operator with great flexibility in the most diverse construction-site operations. What is more, a maximum rate of utilisation results in excellent cost effectiveness.

The HS 825 HD Litronic is fitted with a 180-kW / 245-hp six-cylinder diesel engine. As part of the latest generation of Liebherr diesel engines, it complies with Stage 3 / Tier III noise- and exhaust-emission guidelines. A heavy-duty variant with a larger engine output (270 kW / 367 hp) is also available as an option for really tough construction-site operations.
