Dust Filter offers safe operation.
June 30, 2005 - Reverse Air Filter, Model RAF-IS is designed with all motors and switches outside filter housing so there is no chance of spark caused by electrical component or wiring. Featuring ledgeless design, cylindrical filter includes deluge nozzles, bag grounding, and explosion venting in compliance with NFPA codes. Low involute inlet creates cyclonic effect, which continuously sweeps hopper walls, preventing accumulation of high moisture coal dust.

New Dust Filter Offers Safer Operation
MikroPul’s new RAF-IS reverse air filter locates all motors and switches outside the filter housing so there is no chance of a spark caused by an electrical component or wiring. The cylindrical filter is a ledgeless design with deluge nozzles, bag grounding, and explosion venting in compliance with the latest NFPA codes. Its low involute inlet creates a cyclonic effect which continuously sweeps the hopper walls, preventing accumulation of high moisture coal dust such as PRB. Further, the RAF-IS uses just-filtered air for bag cleaning, so no external oxygen is introduced into the housing.
The RAF-IS features a proven, simple and efficient low pressure reverse air bag cleaning system that delivers a high volume of air to each bag every two minutes. And its involute inlet with deep particle deflector allows high dust loadings while keeping energy costs down.
