LG Electronics Introduces Dual Engine Full HD 3D Projector for Custom Installers

3D Projector ideal for high-end home theater applications

ATLANTA -- Providing the ultimate 3D home theater experience for custom installers and their clients, LG Electronics today introduced a versatile Full HD 3D single lens type projector that throws a stunning 100-inch image.

Showcased at the Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association Expo this week (booth #2335), LG's CF3D is a Full HD Dual Engine Single Lens Type 3D Projector featuring an amazing brightness ratio of 2,500 ANSI-lumens for 2D viewing and 1,250 ANSI-lumens for 3D content. The projector features a high contrast ratio of 7,000:1 and features TruMotion 120Hz for smoother images - a technology previously only seen on flat panel HDTVs. Mounted about 10 feet from the screen, the CF3D projects an image of 100-inches diagonal.

"As home theater enthusiasts embrace 3D, LG's CF3D projector gives custom installers and integrators a flexible platform for delivering stunning 2D and 3D HD content," said Rick Calacci, vice president, regional sales, LG Electronics USA. "With theater-like performance for either home installation or business use, this projector is a treat for audiences from boardrooms to block parties."

Other 3D projection systems use two separate projectors - one for each eye. The CF3D has two engines build into one unit, thereby reducing the space and size required to provide 3D content from one projector. Thanks to the LCOS system, this projector's two images are polarized within the unit and projected simultaneously ensuring maximum brightness. The CF3D projector addresses ghosting with improved and more rapid polarization, so the image is converted into a single 3D image before its transmitted.

LG's Full HD CF3D projector offers superior 3D picture quality for a multitude of commercial applications. With dual engine single lens technology, picture brightness is maintained at high levels while TruMotion 120Hz provides clearer, smoother high definition images. From 3D CAD rendering to compelling corporate presentations to engaging and immersive videos for the classroom, the CF3D projector can deliver a new level of entertainment and educational content.

The CF3D comes with six pairs of polarized 3D glasses (additional glasses sold separately). To view 3D content, a 3D Blu-ray Disc player (or other 3D program source) and silver screen are required and sold separately. LG's CF3D is available now with a manufacturer's suggested retail price of $14,999.99.
