November 16, 2001 - Model DPV-1 differential valve automatically controls flow of water into dry pipe fire protection sprinkler system upon operation of one or more automatic sprinklers. It has external reset and does not require priming water, thereby simplifying resetting procedure. Its galvanized valve trim is shipped in partially assembled components, reducing installation time. Valve is available in flange and groove versions in 4 and 6 in. sizes.

Tyco Fire Products Presents Their New, Simplified Design, Lightweight Dry Pipe Valve


October 20, 2001 - Lansdale, PA -The Model DPV-1 Dry Pipe Valve is a differential valve used to automatically control the flow of water into a dry pipe fire protection sprinkler system upon operation of one or more automatic sprinklers. It can be used for any standard dry pipe system application.

The DPV-1's galvanized valve trim is shipped in partially assembled components, reducing installation time while ensuring a correct installation. The DPV-1 is equipped with an external reset and does not require priming water, thereby simplifying the resetting procedure. This unique differential type design will make the DPV-1 superior to all other dry pipe valves in the fire protection market. The valve benefits are as follows:

Traditional differential-style valve for ease of installation and service

Newly developed offset clapper (Patents pending) facilitates reduced size and bulk

Lightweight design - ductile iron body

No priming water required

External reset

Flange x Flange and Flange x Groove in both 4" and 6" sizes

250 psi rating

Partially assembled component trim ensures quick, accurate installation
