Nylok Introduces NYPLATE® Anti-Seize Dry Film Lubricant
Nylok Corporation, the world leader in value-added fastener parts, has introduced an anti-seize dry film lubricant for external and internal threaded parts that prevents galling, reduces torque scatter and cold welding during assembly.
The new NYPLATE® coating -- the latest Nylok "inNYvation" -- provides easy disassembly even in aggressive industrial environments and after heat exposure up to 1292°F (700°C). The non-toxic environmentally safe NYPLATE process forms a dry and tack-free film lubricant with sealing properties and is ideal for stainless steel fasteners. It seals immediately upon installation; permits easy, non-destructive disassembly, and has a constant low friction value.
According to Nylok, the new lubricant also prevents corrosion in installed condition, has good chemical resistance when assembled and features a storage life up to four years. NYPLATE can be applied selectively or by dip spin application and can be applied over Nylok's NYLOK® Blue Patch(TM) and NYTEMP® self-locking elements.
