Dixon Valve & Coupling Introduces Dry Disconnect Couplings

Chestertown, Md., May/ 25, 2004 - Dixon Valve & Coupling Company announces the introduction of dry disconnect couplings. These couplings, available in stainless steel in sizes from 1 1/2" to 4", are specially designed for the transfer of chemicals, solvents and fuels. They allow for the connection and dis-connection of hoses and pipelines while eliminating accidental spillage and product loss.

Engineered to be extremely user-friendly, each Dixon dry disconnect coupler features a built-in swivel that allows the operator to use an easy "push and turn" action to connect and start the product flow. The valve will not open until the coupler and adapter are connected, thereby eliminating accidental flows. A similarly simple "turn and pull" action disconnects the coupler and stops the product flow. With this design, accidental spillage is impossible.

The dry disconnect design utilizes a stainless steel body, AISI 3156 stainless steel and Hastelloy C276 internal parts, Teflon® bushings and Viton® seals. Optional seals are available. The standard working pressure is 150 PSI.

Dixon's line of dry disconnect couplings is featured in the company's new Catalog #DPL-104. For more information or to receive a catalog, call toll-free (800) 355-1991.
