Lens and Screen Dry Cleaners From Aven Simplify Care

ANN ARBOR, MI - Innovative cleaning tools for optical lenses and electronic device screens now are available from Aven, Inc. They use a dry compound to avoid scratches or damage from liquid solutions.

Models with varied sizes and shapes of cleaning pads are designed for safe, mess-free maintenance of microscopes, video inspection systems, magnifying lamps, cameras, other optical instruments and touch-screen communication devices.

A patent-pending C6 nano-particle formula wipes away smudges, grime and fingerprints from lenses that shouldn't be cleaned with cloth or paper towels. There's no ammonia or alcohol odor from the carbon-based dry compound, and no lint or other residue.

These multiple-use and disposable styles are added to Aven's accessories for industrial, scientific and educational applications:

o Screen Cleaner: Soft pad slides out an L-shape from compact applicator with ring at the end for attaching to a keychain, carabiner or another clip. Suitable for upkeep of screens on the iVue or iScope Video Inspection Systems, the iLoupe XL and Aven's LCD monitors. Available in set of two retractable applicators or a package of 16 single-use versions. A set of 14 disposable jumbo screen cleaners also is offered.

o Lens Cleaners: Three sizes of pen-style cleaners each have a C6 soft tip pad with protective cap and a retractable brush at the other end. It's ideal for laboratory instruments, inspection systems, cameras and binoculars. Standard size has a pocket clip for carrying in a lab coat, jacket or shirt pocket. A more compact model features a cap ring, and a larger version is designed for cleaning Aven's ProVue Magnifying lamp and other oversize lenses. Available in single units for multiple uses or as a set of 12 disposable cleaners along with one brush.

"In addition to being handy workplace accessories, these value-priced products also are popular customer-appreciation giveaways," says Mike Shahpurwala, president of Aven.

This first line of lens cleaners with varied sizes was introduced by Carson Optical at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show.
