July 29, 2004 - Designed to facilitate withdrawing last 2–3% of liquid out of drum bottoms, dolly provides tilt pedal that raises one edge of drum 3 in. In tilting drum 10°, remaining liquid flows to lower side of drum where drum pump can be used to extract it. Steel drum dolly is suited for use with 55 gal drums and is available with capacities of 900 lb with hard rubber casters and 1,200 lb with steel casters.

Drum Dolly with Tilt Feature
This economical product is designed to facilitate withdrawing the last 2 to 3 percent of a liquid out of the bottom of a drum.
The tilt pedal raises one edge of the drum 3 inches higher than the other, tilting the drum 10°. The remaining liquid then flows to the lower side of the drum where a drum pump can be used to extract the remaining liquid. The steel drum dolly is for use with 55-gallon drums. Capacities available include 900 lbs. with hard rubber casters and 1200 lbs. with steel casters.
Removal of liquid out of the drum is particularly important to prevent unintentional contamination due to spilling residual fluids. Residual fluids, often unknown, cause problems in drum crushers, drum storage and when reusing drums for other applications.
The thicker a fluid is the more important this option becomes.
