Low Cost, Burr-Free Drum Deheading

BASCO introduces the WIZ-Kid® units to its line of steel drum deheaders. The WIZ-Kids® are available in both manual and electric models. These lightweight, portable, and user-friendly deheaders will open up a steel drum in less than two minutes. They can dehead 30--55-gallon steel drums up to 16 gauge metal, cutting and folding the metal against the chime, leaving a safe smooth burr-free finish on the inside edge. Both models are built of durable high strength aluminum and hardened tool steel.

The WIZ-Kid® Manual model is propelled by an adjustable 18" ratchet, requiring only minimal user effort to reduce the risk of back strain. It is ideal for low to moderate steel drum volume (10-25 drums per week). It will dehead most drums in less than two minutes. The unit is designed for use in areas with no available power source. It is the only manual deheader in the industry that leaves a burr-free edge. It can be used left or right handed.

The WIZ-Kid® Electric model uses a 1/8 HP, 115V, 60 HZ single-phase DC motor, and is supplied with a tangle-resistant cord and plug. It is designed for low to moderate steel drum volume (20--50 drums per week). The self-propelled operation minimizes operator effort and will dehead most drums in less than one minute. The unit is quiet, easy to use, and clears all bungs. It can be used left or right handed.
