Pentair Water Treatment Introduces its New Pentek Brand of Quick Change Drinking Water Filters

Sheboygan, WI, March 17, 2004 – Pentair Water Treatment today announced that it has introduced new Pentek Quick Change drinking water filters for under sink and refrigerator applications. The Quick Change filters are easily installed or replaced with just a push and a twist. In addition, they are NSF-certified and state registered, significantly reducing dealer’s cost of compliance.

Pentek Quick Change filters come in three models, including granulated carbon and carbon block. All models reduce bad taste and odor, as well as chlorine taste and odor. In addition, the California state-certified QC10-CBR filter reduces lead, cysts, lindane, atrazine and turbidity.

According to Dennis Young, Director of Sales for Pentek-branded filters, the compact size of the new Quick Change filters opens up new opportunities for water treatment dealers and service personnel in commercial applications such as office coffee service and water fountains. “The Quick Change mechanism makes cartridge replacement so easy, customers can do it themselves, making auto-replenishment programs feasible,” Young said. “Not only that: the streamlined replacement process increases replacement cartridge sales, which is a plus for service business,” Young said.

Young went on to point out that the Quick Change replacement cartridges are completely encapsulated which prevents hand contact with the filters. “This makes our Quick Change filters completely sanitary,” he said.

Pentair Water Treatment (www.pentairwater.com) is known for marketing Fleck Controls valves, Structural™ pressure vessels and cabinets, WellMate™ tanks, and CodeLine™ membrane housings, as well as Pentek Filtration and American Plumber filter housings, systems and cartridges.
