RiveDrill Converts Power Drills to Blind Rivet Guns

St. Louis - February 20, 2002 - S-B Industries' patented RiveDrill(TM) attachment quickly converts cordless electric, electric and pneumatic power drills into efficient blind rivet guns. RiveDrill sets rivets faster and with less effort than standard hand riveting tool's.

RiveDrill sets double the amount of rivets compared to manual tools in a given amount of time, setting up to 14 rivets per minute compared to only seven rivets per minute set by standard hand tools. RiveDrill is also more ergonomically comfortable than manual, pliers-type hand riveters - it requires just 6.6 pounds of pressure to operate, compared to 77.2 pounds required for hand tool operation.

Ideal for most light to medium duty applications such as auto or small aircraft and boat repair, residential and commercial construction, and general factory maintenance/repair operations, RiveDrill quickly and easily attaches to standard 3/8" reversible power drills in the same manner the drill accepts a standard drill bit. It can set any standard blind rivet up to 3/16" aluminum, and comes equipped with nosepieces for 1/8", 5/32" and 3/16" sizes. For cordless electric drills, a minimum of a 14.4v capacity battery is optimum. While the RiveDrill has been available throughout Europe, S-B Industries is now offering the attachment to the North American market.

St. Louis-based S-B Industries is also known as the distributor of Lobster Tools' complete line of blind rivet and rivet nut tools. For additional information on S-B Industries visit www.sbrivetguns.com, or call 800 543-1011, fax 636 343-1487.
