Assmann Expands Line of Small Double Wall Tanks with Addition of 20 to 165 Gallon Units
Garrett, IN – Assmann Corporation is expanding its overall line of double wall tanks, containment vessels that provide primary and secondary containment in one integral space-saving unit. The expanded line now includes even smaller tanks at 20, 40, 65, 85, 120, and 165 gallon units, in addition to the 150 and 250 gallon units introduced in 2003.
The tanks are designed for storing hazardous and corrosive chemicals inside or outside; Assmann Corporation’s IMT system consists of a primary inner tank and a secondary outer tank. The secondary outer tank has 120% capacity of the inner tank, which exceeds EPA standards for secondary containment basins. Inner tank dome overlaps the outer tank’s sidewall, which prevents rain, snow and debris from entering the secondary containment tank.
All eight sizes are equipped with a molded-in, recessed pump shelf in the top of the primary tank that contains small chemical spills and is designed for installing chemical pumps and metering equipment. A molded-in sump directly below the pump shelf, permits suction lines to be lowered onto the sump area, allowing for maximum drainage of chemicals with top discharge assemblies. The tank also features a recessed lower fitting flat that allows fittings to penetrate through the secondary containment wall and into the primary tank’s sump which allows full flooded suction for outlet assemblies.
The new smaller tanks are ideal for saving space. The IMT 20, 40, 65, 85, 120, and 165 will fit through a standard 36” doorway. The larger units, IMT 150 and 250, are ideal for intermediate use and are available with built-in forklift pockets to allow for easier movement from one location to another. Custom fitting packages and accessories are available for all double wall models. A wide selection of fittings and accessories to meet specific specifications are also available.
All sizes can be ordered in natural white, blue, green, yellow, or black.
The Assmann double wall tanks ranges from 20 gallons to 6,550 gallons.
