Double Sheet Detectors help protect machinery.

Press Release Summary:

Consisting of ultrasonic, thru-beam sensors, 18 mm Double Sheet Detectors provide means of detecting 0, 1, or 2 sheets of material with weights from 10-2,000 g/m². Units can identify miss-feeds of paper, cardboard, thin plastic, and foil. Sensors feature teach mode, and detection threshold is adjusted to appropriate material thickness for each applications. Units are IP67 protected and insensitive to printing, colors, and glossy surfaces.

Double Sheet Detectors Help Protect Machinery, Avoid Waste

TWINSBURG, OH - Pepperl+Fuchs introduces 18mm diameter double sheet detectors. These ultrasonic thru-beam sensors are designed to identify miss-feeds of a wide variety of media, including paper, cardboard, thin plastic and foil, where such distinctions are required to protect machinery and/or avoid waste.

Double sheet detectors are IP67 protected and provide a highly accurate and low cost method of detecting zero, one or two sheets of material with weights from 10 g/m2 to 2000 g/m2. The sensors feature a teach mode, and the detection threshold is easily adjusted to the appropriate material thickness for each specific application. Additionally, they are insensitive to printing, colors and glossy surfaces that may be part of the material being detected. Changes in ambient conditions are compensated for automatically.
