Including models BZ05 (20*15 mm), BZ01 (28*17 mm) and BZ02 (48*30 mm), BestCap® Series of ultra-low ESR double layer capacitors can be used for high current, short pulse applications. They come with -40 to 75°C operating temperature range, 3-15 V voltage ratings, and 6.8 milli-farad to 1 Farad capacitance range. Model BZ05 size offers 68 milli-farads at 5.5 V and 6.8 milli-farads at 15 V, where as BZ02 has capacitance of 1 Farad at 5.5 V and 68 milli-farads at 15 V.

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (October 21, 2008) -- AVX Corporation, a leading manufacturer of advanced passive components and interconnect solutions, has expanded BestCap® Series to include an ultra-low ESR double layer capacitors with an expanded temperature range from -40º to 75ºC. Ideal for wireless applications, the capacitor series features high capacitance values and power pulse characteristics for high current, short pulse applications including GSM /GPRS wireless based systems, USB modems, automatic meter reading systems, hand held scanners, battery chatter, dying gasp and memory back-up systems. The BestCap double layer capacitors are available in three different standard sizes with voltage ratings from 3V to 15V and a capacitance range from 6.8 milli-farad to 1 Farad.
