July 12, 2002 - Style 808 Duo-Lock coupling is approved for working pressures up to 4,000 psi in 4 and 6 in. pipe and up to 3,500 psi for 8 in. pipe. It engages directly to double grooved pipe, eliminating need for welding special nipples or collars. Pressure-responsive gasket provides triple sealing efficiency and resistance to extrusion. Coupling is suitable for mining, municipal, oil field, and high-pressure applications.

Victaulic® Introduces New High-Pressure Coupling
Lehigh Valley, Pa. - Victaulic has introduced a double-bolted coupling to join extra-heavy double grooved pipe.
The Style 808 Duo-Lock coupling is approved for working pressures up to 4,000 PSI (27,586 kPa) in sizes 4" and 6" (100 and 150 mm) and up to 3,500 PSI (24,138 kPa) for 8" (200 mm) pipe. By engaging directly to double grooved pipe, it eliminates the need for welding special nipples or collars. A pressure-responsive gasket provides triple sealing efficiency and a high modulus for resistance to extrusion.
The coupling was developed specifically for mining, municipal and oil field applications. High-pressure applications include use with injection and slurry lines, hydraulic mining, industrial piping and hydraulic systems.
