Dosimeter-Radiometers are traceable to NIST standards.

Press Release Summary:

Self-contained, one-channel ZETA® 7011-A and 7011-V measure UV dose and irradiance levels inside UV curing equipment. Model 7011-A reads spectral range from 320-400 nm, while Model 7011-V reads spectral range of 350-500 nm. Units of measurement for UV dose are J/cm², while UV irradiance is measured in W/cm². Devices store last measurement taken until beginning of next reading. They are powered by 2 AAA batteries and turn off automatically after 5 min.

Dosimeter-Radiometers Measure UV Dose and Irradiance of UV Cure Equipment

Rocky Hill, Conn. - June 26, 2003. Henkel Loctite Corporation has introduced the Loctite® ZETA® 7011-A and 7011-V, new dosimeter-radiometers designed to measure the UV dose (energy) and irradiance levels inside UV curing equipment. Both self-contained, one-channel devices are traceable to the National Institute of Standards (NIST).

The ZETA 7011-A reads a spectral range from 320 to 400 nm, while the ZETA 7011-V reads a spectral range of 350 to 500 nm. Units of measurement for the UV dose are Joules per square centimeter (J/cm²), while UV irradiance is measured in Watts per square centimeter (W/cm²). Prior to shipment, the units are factory
calibrated to NIST requirements. Re-calibration is required only once per year. The devices are powered by two AAA batteries, good for 3000 readings or 2000 hours of service. A low battery indicator is located on the LCD.

The dosimeter-radiometers are designed to store the last measurement taken until the beginning of the next reading, even if the unit is turned off. The ZETA 7011 units turn off automatically after five minutes if no new buttons are pressed. An internal temperature sensor, located in the middle of the housing, detects excessively high temperatures that could damage the unit. An alarm sounds at 75°C and the unit turns off at 80°C.
