BancTec Announces New Addition to Document Processing System - IntelliScan® SDS
Scanner sets new standards in its class for difficult paper handling applications
DALLAS, March 4 -- BancTec, a leading global provider of advanced, high-volume document and payment processing services and solutions, today announced at the AIIM International Exposition and Conference the launch of IntelliScan® SDS, the latest addition to its IntelliScan® line of high-capacity production scanners. The mixed document scanner, with its fully open track, provides customers with a robust document processing system that dramatically improves throughput and reduces recovery time from paper jams, resulting in significantly lower operating costs and outstanding price performance.
IntelliScan SDS has one of the smallest footprints of open track scanners in the market, which makes it the perfect scanning system for mid-volume and/or distributed environments. Featuring many of the same benefits that have made the IntelliScan® XDS a leader in the industry, the IntelliScan SDS delivers rapid performance for multi-purpose page scanning applications in either centralized or distributed environments. The IntelliScan SDS operates at speeds up to 200 pages per minute (ppm) and supports optical resolution of 300 dpi.

Planned for general availability by June 2008, the IntelliScan SDS is priced at $83,000 in a typical configuration. The IntelliScan SDS has been designed to meet the European Union RoHS directive.
