Integrated SharePoint Reporting Extension Launched by Aptus Solutions
London, - SharePoint users are continuously hampered by reporting processes
that do not allow them to select data properties from multiple SharePoint lists or to format SharePoint list views. Users do not normally have sufficient knowledge of the underlying data structures to build meaningful or efficient reports. Users can now generate their own reports and templates for key reports like the Document Register, which they can save, reuse and adjust as they wish. This effectively allows highly structured data to be presented and queried at any time, subject to the user's status, in a seemingly unstructured manner, for easier handling, but without compromising the integrity of the data format or its contents. Thus the rigour of yourDCC's access controls, versioning and audit trail is preserved even though the user has rapid, intuitive access to all the content he or she is entitled to.
Using SSRS integrated with SharePoint, the report definitions (.rdl file) can be imported into SharePoint, and saved as a list of reports that can be run on an ad hoc basis by end users or scheduled to run automatically, against live or cached data.
The resultant report data can be output to multiple formats, including PDF, XML, Text file, MHTML Web archive, or used dynamically to refresh a graphical or formatted display on any SharePoint Site.
