New Low Cost I/O Modules from CAS DataLoggers

Real Time DAQ Using our PC-based Data Loggers

CHESTERLAND OH — CAS DataLoggers and Brainchild have just introduced the new Distributed I/O Modules as low cost, portable solutions recording real-time readings. With a simple setup and unattended operation, these modules communicate with a datalogger, PLC or HMI via Modbus RTU protocol. Featuring options for multiple thermocouple and RTD inputs, as well as current/voltage and digital signals, these data loggers are already seeing use in a wide variety of applications including lab setups, process measurement, and small businesses needing real-time temperature data for quality control. Now real-time DAQ and analysis is affordable, convenient, and easy to use!

Perfect for remote standalone data logging, our new modules include options for both analog and digital inputs/outputs to measure various parameters including Thermocouples, RTDs, Current, Voltage, and Relay. Each module has an LED indicating I/O status, communication and power supply. We also have isolated modules for specialized applications.

These devices also interface with field devices to provide real-time data for your SCADA/PLC/HMI systems. Each module includes a Modbus RS485 Port for use with any device using Modbus RTU protocol. For example, you can add these low-cost modules to an existing PLC system to provide real-time process monitoring and control. Using multiple modules, you can have up to 127 modules on your RS485 network. Each data logger also includes a DIN rail mounting clip and removable screw terminal connectors for convenient placement and secure connections.

Inexpensive data acquisition software is now available for module configuration and troubleshooting. Store your data and analyze it all in real time on your PC. The software can also produce temperature curves enabling you to fine-tune your process and ensure repeatability in product quality.
