Midi-Vap™ 2000 Distillation Systems Available for Ammonia, Cyanide, and Phenol Determinations

Kimble-Kontes, a leading manufacturer of laboratory glassware and apparatus, is offering Kontes brand Midi-Vap 2000 Distillation Systems that support semiautomatic colorimetry methods for drinking, ground, surface, saline as well as domestic and industrial waste waters, using up to 10 economically sized samples.

Units meet EPA/600/R-93/100 methods for the Determination of Inorganic Substances in Environmental Samples and are available in three complete component assemblies to process water samples for ammonia, cyanide, and phenols or in a combination assembly that permits processing of all three.

Midi-Vap 2000 units utilize common 50 mL sample tubes for all procedures, and temperatures are thermostatically controlled to prevent overheating. A draft shield further optimizes temperature control by avoiding thermal gradients caused by ambient air currents. A parallel water manifold delivers constant temperature water flows to each cold finger position and cools all samples to the same temperature to assure maximum accuracy of test results.

Rated at 155v and 1000W, these compact (24"L x 16"W x 20" ~ 20 pounds) systems feature 120 minute timers, heat indicator lights, digital temperature controls and individually controllable vacuum PTFE needle valves.
