87 Series Large Digital Displays

Itasca, IL - Vorne Industries is pleased to announce the 87 Series, a new family of large digit production displays. High visibility digits combined with a feature rich parameter set make this family of large displays ideal for plant wide viewing of production data.

Core functions include rate, count, elapsed time, tact time, and efficiency. Common and useful combinations (e.g. total count with instantaneous rate and accumulated downtime; actual count with target count and running efficiency), help give a complete picture of manufacturing performance, either on the display, or also reported back to a host computer.

Specially selected red AlGaAs LEDs (light emitting diodes) form four, six, eight or twelve inch high display digits, easily readable at distances of up to 400 feet. Yellow and green LEDs are also available. A tri-color display option allows automatic changes in display color, from green to yellow to red, as process parameter values change.

Advanced programmable features allow 87 Series displays to be tailored by the user to specific applications. Over 100 programmable parameters are available, including presets, trigger points, display ranges, scale factors, display ID tags, and more. For basic display applications, setting dip switches is all that is required to begin operation. For advanced display applications, the FREE Vorne Display-Pro® 4 Windows® software simplifies application setup.

A programmable RS-232 communication port is standard on every 87 Series display. It can be used to program the display, to interface to the optional 87/003 Hand Held Terminal, or to remotely access run time parameters. An optional RS-422 communication card allows multiple displays to be connected, forming a complete data acquisition network. An optional relay output card can also be added to trigger horns, beacons or other annunciation devices.

The 87 Series enclosure is designed specifically for industrial applications, with co-extruded gaskets, separate power and data conduit entry, and efficient hang mounting. A back panel access plate puts wiring terminals and dip switch controlled setup parameters within easy reach.

Units are available now and are priced from $479.00 each in single quantity.
