July 8, 2003 - With flow rate as high as 250 mg/sec, HY-FLOâ„¢ maintains consistent temperature and material viscosity in large-volume dispensing applications. Embedded thermocouple offers closed-loop control, while plastic prevents heat migration to gantry and motor. Auger rotation, controlled by brushless motor with programmable encoder, provides 8,000+ counts per 360° revolution. Valve uses 24 V, 40 W Kapton heater and copper cartridge and operates in temperatures from ambient to 100°C.

HY-FLOâ„¢ Valve Offers Precise Thermal Controls for Large Volume Dispensing

Haverhill, MA — DL Technology, LLC® announces the HY-FLO dispensing valve for high volume applications in electronics assembly, medical device, and industrial assembly markets. The HY-FLO valve provides precise material control and repeatability by maintaining consistent temperature and material viscosity. An embedded thermocouple offers closed-loop control, compensating for temperature changes in the environment that may lead to process variations.

The HY-FLO valve features an advanced plastic that prevents heat migration to the gantry and motor. The rotation of the auger, controlled by a brushless motor with programmable encoder provides more than 8,000 counts per 360° revolution. The valve uses a 24V, 40W Kapton heater, and a copper cartridge for maximum heat conduction. The valve operates in a temperature range of ambient to 100°C.

The auger configuration is designed to support the flow rate, which can be as high as 250 mg/second. The HY-FLO Valve is also available without the heater element for high volume applications that do not require temperature control.

DL Technology, LLC® develops customized dispensing needles for the electronics assembly and semiconductor packaging industries. The company is owned and operated by engineers who have more than fifteen years of experience in dispensing technology.
