July 31, 2003 - Micro Valveâ„¢ uses programmable encoder, which controls rotation of auger, providing 200,000 counts per 360° revolution. Valve can repeatably dispense 5.5 mil volumes, depending on material and application requirements. Multiple cartridge styles accommodate 3 different needle styles. Auger and cartridge liner are carbide, creating almost frictionless operation. Valve is suited for high-density interconnect, optoelectronics, and semiconductor packaging applications.

New Enhanced Encoder Count on the DL Micro Valve Improves Precision of Micro Volume Dispensing

HAVERHILL, MA – DL Technology, LLC® now offers an enhanced encoder count on their Micro Valveâ„¢, increasing the precision and repeatability for micro volume dispensing applications. The programmable encoder, which controls rotation of the auger, has been modified to provide 200,000 counts per 360° revolution, more than three times the counts of our standard encoder. This allows the valve to repeatably dispense 5.5 mil volumes, depending on the material and application requirements.

The DL Micro Valve is the only dispensing valve on the market that can deposit repeatable micro volumes using a standard dispensing platform, making it ideal for high-density interconnect, optoelectronics, and semiconductor packaging applications.

The DL Micro Valve is available in multiple cartridge styles to accommodate three different needle styles. Both the auger and cartridge liner are constructed of carbide, creating an almost frictionless operation. Cartridge, auger, and needle are the only wetted parts that require cleaning and can be extracted easily with a syringe and feed tube as one piece. This assembly can then be stored overnight depending on the properties of the material being dispensed, resulting in minimal cleaning and maintenance for reduced downtime and overhead costs.

DL Technology, LLC® develops customized dispensing needles for the electronics assembly and semiconductor packaging industries. The company is owned and operated by engineers who have more than fifteen years of experience in dispensing technology.
