Optimizing production without operator input, AIRplusŪ Cactus uses dispensing hopper with level sensor to monitor reserve of air pillows, then triggers production when low-level threshold is reached. Cactus Transport provides floor-mounted blower stand with up to 2 transport ducts, allowing 2 different sized pillows to be used. Standard sized hoppers include single outlet, or 10, 14, or 16 outlets. Ducting is available in 10 in. diameter and lengths of 5 or 10 ft.

NEW AIRplusŪ Cactus Transport and Dispensing System from Storopack Automates Production & Delivery of Air Pillows
Cincinnati, OH - Storopack, Inc. introduces the AIRplusŪ Cactus - a revolutionary system which automatically manufactures and transports air pillows, optimizing production without operator input. Dispensing hoppers are equipped with level sensors to monitor the reserve of air pillows, and trigger the production when a low-level threshold is reached. At the heart of the system is the Cactus Transport - a floor mounted blower stand with up to 2 transport ducts, which allows 2 different sized pillows to be used within the system to maximize film usage and reduce packaging waste. For single-pillow operations, two different dispensing hoppers can be filled by moving one Excel machine between locations, or by using 2 Excel machines to produce the air pillows. Using 2 machines enables a large dispenser to be filled faster than can be accomplished with a single machine.
Air pillows are produced using Storopack Excel machines, and include stands with casters for transport between filling stations, and multiple spindles, to accommodate additional pillow sizes or larger quantities of pillows.
The floor-mount Cactus Transport is pre-wired and ready to plug-in to 120V service. System kit includes all pipe frames, fittings, ducting and installation hardware. Five Velcro patches to cover unused outlets are provided on hoppers with multiple outlets. The system can accommodate virtually any customer supplied horizontal distances between the transport blower and the dispensing hopper.
Standard sized Dispensing Hoppers include a single outlet, or 10, 14 or 16 outlets. Nordfab ducting with 10" diameters comes in 5-foot lengths and 90-degree elbows, to accommodate any application requirement. Standard ducting is available in 10" diameter in either 5-foot or 10-foot lengths.
